This service will only return details of Staffordshire schools and provide information about eligibility under the normal transport policy of catchment area or absolute nearest school (see policy information). If you are looking for travel assistance to a non-Staffordshire school, nearest school with a place, or wanting to make a request based on your particular circumstances then please read the policy information before making your application.

Note: We are in the process of updating the road network and so results regarding routes, distances and eligibility to free travel returned by the school routes checker may be incorrect - please check again in 4 weeks’ time. If you are in the process of expressing preferences for school places for September 2025, we would be happy to accept changes to your preferences during October 2024 as a result of this issue. Additionally, routes and distances to schools due to open in September 2025 may not yet be accurately reflected in distance and eligibility results.
